The latest Dojo release includes critical but low-risk patches to version 1.1.0, plus localizations to bring the list of languages supported by Dojo to 22.

Download it and try it out. You'll see many improvements in this release, which is still API-compatible with 1.0. Please report all issues on trac, user=guest/pw=guest.

Becky and I gave an updated presentation of our a11y/i18n talk at AjaxWorld this week, going over the issues of making Ajax applications available to all users, and how Dojo makes it possible.

beta 2 is out. It incorporates some bug fixes to the CSS build, a small refactor to Tree, and many other bug fixes on our way to 1.1 final.

Just after Wolfram landed his new Rating widget in DojoX, I read about Tobi's extension to this widget that uses dojo.gfx! It's a testimony not just to Wolfram's clean implementation, but also to the reusability of the Dojo architecture and the widget system in particular. Nice work, guys!

Try out the new dijit.layout.BorderContainer widget, now available in trunk. This widget combines the functionality of the LayoutContainer and SplitContainer widgets, and does so with a smaller and simpler implementation.

The fourth Dojo Developer Day will be held in Mountain View, Calif. on February 7th and 8th. The first day will likely be focused on committers and project plans, and the second day more open to community issues. Watch dojotoolkit.org for further announcements.
